AGIR 2026 Award

The National Institute for Research and Development for Optoelectronics – INOE 2000, through the Institute of Hydraulics and Pneumatics in Bucharest, was awarded the AGIR Trophy, in the Mechanical Engineering section, for the creation of the “Teaching Stand for Automatic Systems for Pumping Systems Powered by Renewable Energy”.

The distinction was awarded during the celebration organized by the General Association of Engineers of Romania – AGIR, on the occasion of the Romanian Engineer’s Day, on September 11, 2026.

The award was received, on behalf of the INOE 2000-IHP Bucharest team, by CS I dr. eng. Teodor Costinel Popescu. The stand represents a solution with scientific, technical and educational values, intended for the study and demonstration of the operation of automatic pumping systems powered by renewable energy. It allows the development of skills in the field of automation, pumping systems and the integration of renewable energy sources, responding to current concerns regarding energy efficiency and sustainable technologies.
