On 17 July 2026, our colleague Senior Researcher Dr. Doina-Nicoleta NICOLAE publicly defended her habilitation thesis in Environmental Science at the Institute for Doctoral Studies of Babeș-Bolyai University.
Entitled “Contributions to atmospheric research through lidar developments and multi-sensor synergy on a European scale”, the thesis highlights significant contributions to atmospheric research through lidar technology development and multi-sensor integration, as well as the research activity carried out within the Remote Sensing Department of INOE 2000 at national and international level.
We congratulate Doina-Nicoleta NICOLAE on this achievement and wish her continued success in supervising future generations of doctoral students and developing new research directions.
